An intense wave of heat moves through the composition of this piece, an all-consuming and disruptive force reducing everything to a singular desire for relief. Created from lived experience, the work reflects the embodied reality of inhabiting a body that can suddenly feel overwhelming, unpredictable, and beyond control.
A gentle, natural palette is contrasted with staccato mark-making. These competing visual languages evoke the contrast between outward composure and the intensity of the internal experience. Through abstraction, the work traces sensations of urgency, frustration, and disorientation, capturing a moment in which the body becomes an internal battleground.
