A mid-century inspired art gallery and retreat. Pairing original mid-century furniture with modern local and Japanese design, Hakka Guesthouse is an ode to design icons of the past and present.
Hakka Guest House was created as a space to experientially engage with iconic designs. Hakka Guest House features a curated collection of mid-century, Japanese and modern Australian furniture and homewares.
The house features the original designs of Eames, George Nelson, Kai Kristiansen, TH Brown, FRAMAC, Ellis, Dowel Jones, Ishinomaki Laboratory, Sarah Ellison, Johannes Andersen, Miyazaki Chair Factory and many more.
Founder/ Director mous magazine was an independent Australian design and culture magazine publishing in print and online from 2014-2020. Bringing together emerging writers, photographers, artists, and graphic designers, mous was creative and intellectual exploration into art, design, society and sex.
mous magazine was created to assist writers and creatives bridge the gap between study and employment by providing a platform for writers to gain experience, hone skills and collaborate with people in the industry.
mous achieved an international reach, distributed to over 200 stockists across 11 countries, and was recognised with a shortlist for the Queensland Premier’s Young Publishers Award.
