This work explores the restless hours of premature menopause-induced insomnia. In the darkness, minutes become months, thoughts spiral, and sleep becomes elusive, arriving only with the first light of morning. A calm, natural palette sits in tension with frantic gestural mark-making, reflecting the disconnect between the body's exhaustion and its inability to rest. Through abstraction, the work captures the disorientation, frustration, and longing for relief that accompany sleepless nights, where rest feels perpetually just beyond reach.
7am-10am is showing at Nightingale Gallery from the 6th of June - 26th of June.
